Vincenzo Carrieri is Associate Professor of Public Economics at the University of Salerno. He received his PhD from University of Calabria and a PhD specialization in Health Economics and Policy from the Swiss School of Public Health (SSPH+) in 2008. He is affiliated researcher at the Health, Econometrics and Data Group (HEDG) of the University of York and at the RWI-Research Network of the RWI-Leibniz Institute for Economic Research.  His main research interests are in the fields of health economics, income inequality and applied microeconometrics with particular interests in the determinants of health, socio-economic inequalities in health and health care and the economics of risky behaviours.  He published his contributions among others in the Journal of Health Economics, Health Economics, Oxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics, Oxford Economic Papers, Economics Letters, Health Policy, Economics and Human Biology.
